About the Classrooms
K. Winslow
As an ESE teacher, I provide support to exceptional students within their general education classrooms while also working with small groups in reading, math, and social skills instruction. My goal is to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences that meet students where they are and help them reach their full potential. Through the use of manipulatives, interactive activities, and positive incentives, I strive to increase student engagement, build confidence, and make learning meaningful. I also focus on helping students become goal-oriented learners by teaching them to set personal goals, monitor their progress, and develop high expectations for themselves. By fostering independence, perseverance, and a growth mindset, I aim to equip students with the skills they need to be successful both inside and outside the classroom

After more than a decade in self-contained prek, thank you for supporting my transition to a new Gifted classroom! Your generosity helps create an engaging learning environment for students in grades 1-6. Every item, share, and prayer is greatly appreciated!

I teach K-2 self-contained students. I love giving them opportunities to not only learn but to explore and grow their imagination.
L. Lopez
I teach in a self contained ESE classroom with students who have a wide range of academic, communication, and behavioral needs. Some of my students are nonverbal, while others are developing early communication and academic skills. Each child requires individualized instruction, supports, and interventions to help them learn, grow, and succeed. Any donations received will make a meaningful difference in my students’ daily educational experiences.

My classroom of learners are Exceptional Pre-K students that learn better with hands on learning. Many are nonverbal and require different ways to show their knowledge.

I work at a title one school with 100% free breakfast and lunch. My students are among the best in the county and strive hard to reach their goals. Life isn’t always easy for our group kids but they come in daily and meet expectations. It’s my goal to make each day feel special because the one place I’m confident they feel safe is between the walls of my classroom. They will be loved, fed, and respected. They’re encouraged, challenged and supported. Please consider my classroom or one of my peers at WE Cherry because your support means more opportunities for these amazing little learners.

I’m heading into my 34th year of teaching and I still love it! I incorporate my therapy dogs into my class behavior and reward system, and sponsor a Jr. Humane Society club. I appreciate any support offered to help my students have a fun and enriching experience.
