About the Classrooms

T. Miller
I’m excited to start another year of teaching 6th grade math at AES. I will be teaching 3 classes, a mixture of Accelerated Math and Standard Math. AES has some amazing scholars, and I am excited about helping them become the best that they can be.

M. Parrales
As a first-year teacher, my goal is to create a calm, comfortable classroom environment where my students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn every day. I am very excited to begin this journey because I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl. Stepping into my own classroom is truly a dream come true, and I’m looking forward to growing alongside my students and helping them succeed.

J. Planas
Hi my name is Jaclyn Planas, I am a recent graduate from the University of North Florida (swoop!). I grew up in Clay County and did my Student Teaching Internship within Clay as well . I have always wanted to be a teacher and provide the best educational experience possible for all students. With your help I can achieve this through my class wishlist. I am wanting to create an environment that once students walk in they feel comfortable and ready to learn. I want my class to be a safe and inclusive place that students will be able to thrive in. My teaching goal is to make a positive impact on my students!

E. Sotolongo
This is will be my 3rd year teaching & I’m really excited to build on everything I learned the first 2 years! My goals this year are to continue to focus on the whole child approach to teaching & create a structured predictable environment. I’ve seen how investing into a students whole self can make a world of a difference in their willingness to learn and retain knowledge & that’s something I love being a part of.

B. Holmes
Hi All, I am a teacher in Florida who found out she is going from my big kids (5th) to the little ones (2nd). I have never taught anything beneath an intermediate grade so this is a jump for me. I am super nervous but also super excited. I am trying to make the best experience possible for them as I learn my ways around primary. My list is made to help transitions go smoothly and organization to stay organized. Thank you in advance for looking out for my baby, we appreciate it! 💜💜💜

K. Boltz
I am a second year 3rd grade teacher at Argyle. I went to Argyle for elementary school and returned to teach because it felt like home! I teach the ELL population and all subjects.

A. Morgan
I’m still a firm believer that it takes a village to guide our children as they navigate life — academically, socially, and emotionally. My goal is to build a classroom that students feel comfortable to explore, make mistakes, and grow to their fullest potential. I’ll forever be grateful for your investments in their future!

To create a safe, fun and engaging leaning environment. Being able to provide my students with all the tools to be successful and confident is the most important!
